Our podcast hosts, filmmaker Sabine Pusch<\/strong> and Public Policy Advisor Dr. Robert Keeling<\/strong>, speak with Italian author Vincenzo Latronico<\/strong> about his highly acclaimed novel Perfection<\/em>, which was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize 2025. <\/p>\n\n The novel traces the seemingly perfect life of a foreign couple in gentrified Berlin \u2013 and serves as a starting point for a discussion about urban change processes in two metropolises.<\/p>\n\n Together, we discuss how Berlin has changed since Covid<\/strong> and in what ways the controversial topic of gentrification<\/strong> is being negotiated there: While the city continues to live off its reputation as an open, resistant cultural metropolis, many neighborhoods are increasingly under pressure.
