35 Years of the Peaceful Revolution and the Fall of the Berlin Wall

Events

The fall of the Berlin Wall will mark its 35th anniversary on November 9th. To commemorate this significant occasion, Kulturprojekte Berlin is calling for the submission of individually designed posters, signs, and banners to be displayed along the former course of the Wall on November 9th.

Giving space to one’s own creativity and political voice – difgl has already designed and submitted initial posters as part of the workshop program. As historians, difgl managing directors Katja Anclam and Christoph Henseler are not only advocates of peaceful and communal coexistence:

Topics such as cultural heritage and the reappraisal and preservation of the past are important approaches to working towards a good life in the future. Knowing and understanding what was is an elementary prerequisite for setting the right course in the future.

Posters specially designed and assembled: This will create a spectacular overall picture along the former course of the Wall. Visitors are invited to explore the former course of the Wall and, based on the thousands of testimonies, statements, and stories, to grasp what freedom meant for people then (and today)!
